The front of this cushion is decorated with a wonderful illustration of a hare with big, attentive eyes, painted in soft watercolour tones. His big pointy ears sit tall, and the design is surrounded by the trademark black speckles that Wrendale are known for. The design is set on a beige cushion which is made of a cotton linen blend fabric, and it is filled with ethically sourced feathers. On the reverse of this cushion is an array of themed illustrations of hares, displayed in a polka dot fashion across the green canvas backdrop all in different poses. The cushion is finished off with a green pied edge, a concealed zip fastening and the Wrendale branded tag.

This delightful range of stationery and accessories is inspired by the animal characters seen in the British countryside, farmyard and home, as well as more exotic creatures. Featuring original artwork produced by Hannah Dale, each image is delicately painted with soft brushwork, subtle colours and paint spatters. Hannah is an ex-stockbroker turned farmer’s wife who, inspired by her rural married life, embraced her artistic roots and began painting the animals in the landscape around her. Since then Wrendale Designs has expanded into a family business, producing a wide range of greetings cards, ceramic, melamine and textile items, all featuring artwork touched with the magic of Hannah’s watercolour brush.
